Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo crashed into a barrier, totaling his red 612-horsepower Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. He luckily escaped the accident with no serious injuries.

The 23-year-old winger was reportedly driving through a tunnel beneath the runways of Manchester Airport around 10:20 a.m. when he hit the barrier. Greater Manchester Police also said teammate and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar was following Ronaldo in his Bentley, although he was not involved in the crash. Ronaldo gave a negative breath test, then got a lift from van der Sar and continued to a training session.

We are investigating a road traffic collision in the airport tunnel on the A538. It appears a Ferrari has collided with a barrier in the tunnel. Enquiries are continuing. The driver is being spoken to at the scene. It does not appear he has been injured

The Ferrari 599 GTB is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 that produces 612 hp and has a top speed of 205 mph.

Inside Line says: Although we mourn the loss of a more than $300,000 Ferrari masterpiece, it’s only a small part of Ronaldo’s $3 million car collection.

That is the life of the rich and famous! Imagine you running your car into a barrier at that speed and getting off un-hurt? I felt very sad to hear the news and i am now mourning the loss of a Ferrari :S

While watching the Presidential innauguration the Presidents new ride looked awesome! It is nicknamed “The Beast” ! It sure looks like a beast!

Barack Obama will ride in an all-new Cadillac Presidential Limousine after his inauguration as the 44th President of the United States today.

He will use the vehicle, nicknamed the Beast, on the 1.7-mile journey from the Capitol along the parade route to the White House. It reportedly has armour eight inches thick, tear-gas cannons and Kevlar-reinforced tyres that resist attack. For security reasons, most of the details remain confidential.

Since the 1930s, the job of providing transport for the President and members of his administration has alternated irregularly between Cadillac, one of troubled General Motors’ marques, and Ford’s luxury brand, Lincoln. Ford has not supplied the White House with limousines since 1989.

Wonder if Proton and Perodua will compete to come design the new PM’s car or will they just give the PM a regular Proton Perdana Limo?

Bailouts is the word that you got to get your self used too this year. Many companies are going to the dogs and many countries around the world are helping their “national” companies which provide jobs to millions of their people some hope of survival.

This money is tax payers money which is managed by the government who later give it out to these companies who than manage it in ensuring the company makes it through the hard times. So Chrysler which was rumored to be bust without the bailout got some help from the American government, how much…Just under 3billion US dollars.

What would they do with this money?

In return for the bailout GM and Chrysler have promised major reorganisations to cut spending. They include limits on their bosses’ pay and forcing the unions to accept steep wage cuts which they are not keen to do.

Instead, these morons ran full page advertisements across the nation’s papers thanking America for the bailout! Imagine that! The minute someone gives you money to save your company,you go out and blow some more money! They could have ran this ad online and thank the world ,leave alone America for almost no cost?

I guess this is a sneak preview to Americans on how their tax money is going to be spent!

I hope this does not happen in Malaysia, because if it does i don’t think we should let the companies get away with day light robbery! (not like it doesn’t happen )

Hybrid are a trend that must set in! We need more hybrid cars on the roads to help reduce the damage to mother nature. Unfortunately the hybrid cars are not exactly the biggest in this region but it has to slowly have to come into this region. Toyota Prius is the famous car that the world is talking about and the new edition is due to be launched in 2010.

Even though its a while more, some pictures of the new Toyota Prius has leaked. The rumour is that the 2010 Toyota Prius, a faster, cleaner and greener hybrid. Such a car is coming soon and will launch at the Detroit auto show in January 2009

Im hoping the cars make it to our shores are affordable rates as we all know that these cars are not as bad to the environment and it should b subsidies so the people will be able to help the cause!
