Why You Should Donate Blood

I try to donate blood at least twice a year. While it saves lives and helps those who might need it, i had a friend who is a doctor who gave me a simple analogy which stuck in my head.
The reason you service your car every 3-4 months is so that you can remove the engine oil which lubricates your can mechanics to new oil so that it runs smoothly. If you didn’t change your car oil, it collects all sorts of dirt and eventually causes damage to your engine which will ultimate cause your car to fail.
Yes it extremely layman but the analogy made perfect sense to me and felt that by donating blood, it gives my body the opportunity to create new blood cells which could only be good? Im no doctor so i wouldnt understand the technicalities and how the body works.

I suggest you go donate once and see how you feel, i always feel good after donating and i keep the blood donation book in my car just in case i stumble upon a blood donation drive somewhere if i dont get the time to go to the hospital to donate blood

The Approach To Anti-Piracy

When i was younger, when my parents told me NOT to do something.. Thats exactly what i wanted to do! Its human nature, the forbidden fruit taste the best doesn’t it? So in “Malaysia Democratic” style, 10 file sharing sites were blocked by all local ISP under the instruction of MCMC .
Reason of blocking : The websites violated copyright law. The decision made by the regulatory body to block 10 file-sharing websites in its effort to combat piracy. The websites are mostly used to download pirated content including movies, TV shows and music.
I can understand the logic behind piracy and yes it is considered stealing but for me the approach was all wrong! The more you tie someone’s hands the more innovative they get in trying to release that knot to access freedom again! I did a search online to check out the list of blocked sites and i found more results of HOW TO ACCESS the sites rather then the links to the sites. I rest my case!

Hacktivst , Anonymous gave out a warning after having enough of the way Malaysian government went on a spree to block websites with the below message ->
Greetings, Malaysia, We have seen the censorship taken by the Malaysian government, blocking sites like The Pirate Bay, and WikiLeaks. Malaysia is one of the world’s strictest governments, even blocking out movies, and television shows. These acts of censorship are inexcusable. You are taking away a basic human right. The internet is here for freedom, without fear of government interference. Do not think that no one else notices. Your structured government has done the talking, and we hear loud and clear. Let this be an announcement to all your people. This is a sign, a warning, and an opportunity to listen to ideas above your own. In a way you are being stubborn. But how will this help anyone or your country. We fear that if you make further decisions to take away human freedom. We are obligated to act fast and have no mercy. For rules were meant to be broken. And corruption was meant to be washed away and forgiven. Now we will wash your corruption away so be prepared. Take this as a favor.
