2 Bukits & a Batang Fight Today!

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Bukit Gantang,Bukit Selambau and Batang Ai go into their by-election today. There have been by-election after by-election and this is the icing on the cake with 3 happening on the same day. Hopefully this is the last of it and the respective governments can go into work and not waste time & money in power struggle.

Found this nice video which for once does not have the usual boring feel to it :) I hope those from and in the constituencies go back to vote and vote wisely for the sake of Malaysia

Warkah Out, 1 Malaysia In

warkah

The former PM of Malaysia launched “Warkah Untuk PM” that Malaysians can gain direct access to him. He encouraged ideas, thoughts and even complains. It was a much publicized website with even huge billoards being errected on the federal highway. I was trying to access the website for a few days and it never loaded. I supposed it has died a natural death.

Since today Malaysia got their 6th Prime Minister, we have a new website that promises updates and information of the new PM (more…)

The New Begining Or?

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

photo-0117The Rahman prophecy has been fulfilled today. While the prophecy was completed, a random thought was discovered.

The 3 rd alphabet of in the alphabetical order and the number of the current month nicely fits todays date of the 3rd of April 2009. Are we in for a new begining or more doom and gloom? Time will tell!

Change is the buzz word for the year. While Malaysia is gearing up for 3 by-elections, the candidate that caught the attention for me is PKR’s nomination of ordinary party member S Manikumar. He is a local boy from the town and is a tourism management degree and an MBA from Universiti Utara Malaysia. (more…)

Cabinet Reshuffle?

Friday, March 27th, 2009

We are getting so close to a new leadership. With new leadership normally comes change! But what is change with the same faces in new clothes? Anyway.. The PM in waiting has hinted that there is going to be a major reshuffle in the cabinet. This means, ministries will have new leaders, new directions and those who used to work under the current crop have got some re-adjusting to do.

What does this mean to Malaysians? I have my opinions…… But, ill save it for another day! Maybe after the “honeymoon period”

CM of Sarawak – Must Watch Video

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

cm-47-mug-cmyk

I was doing some reading about Sarawak and when i was checking out on the leadership, i decided to blog a little about the leadership. The Cheif Minister of Sarawak is Pehin Sri Dr Hj Abdul Taib Mahmud .He has been in power since 1981,that is a blistering 28 years!! How about that!

In the time of age when the world is calling for change we have leaders who have been in helm for such a long time!! I was wondering, can someone who has been in power for such a long time change? Can someone who is so in tune with his/her ways bring real change? I personally don’t know! But i know for a fact that old habits die hard!

Then i found these 2 video’s from Al-Jazeera. Its from their 101 East show which showcases the CM and the state. (more…)

People’s Power?

nazi

After the previous election, it was clear that the people’s voice was being finally heard. Not because BN lost states and a significant majority but because there were signs that people want something and the polls were reflecting that very sentiment. Then there was some drama with the PM and his decision to step down and the succesor being decided etc…

Then the hostile take over of Perak happened! It was very tragic in the way the govt was thrown out and a new govt was formed without the mandate from the people. As a nuetral, one would think that if the govt didnt have the mojority a election would be called to let the people decide on who should govern them.

Simple logic, there always will be bad apples in any basket.. It can be a dark blue, dark blue or event a white basket. But how should we deal with these bad apples? Remove them and let the people decide who should replace them maybe?

Anyway..It was truly sad in the way things have unfolded isnt it? Not because Pakatan lost power but how the people were undermind! I spoke to many friends who voted in that state and the sentiments is clear, most are dissapointed.

Below is some polls that have been done since : (more…)

The Perak Fiasco

Friday, February 6th, 2009

The Perak state government has crumbled! This has been confirmed today after the announcement of the King and its effectively a BN ruled state. Below are a series of video’s from the now former MB and the new Perak UMNO chief announcing that BN have now taken over the state of Perak.

I was speaking to many people today and the general consensus is that the people are not happy with the way things have unfolded. This is the height of a hostile take over!

What difference a leader makes eh! Image the change that can happen when we have a new leader! Malaysians, brace your self for “change

The new Perak UMNO chief making the proud annoucement :

Are You A Migrant?

immigrants

Wikipedia :

Emigration is the act of leaving one’s native country or region to settle in another. It is the same as immigration but from the perspective of the country of origin. Human movement before the establishment of state boundaries or within one state, is termed migration

In a previous posting there was a comment from a reader amongst some of his comment said :

The rights you have right now is more than a enough for a migrant race. If you all open your narrow mind & compare Malaysia with other countries, then it would be a heaven for you

Do you consider your self a immigrant? I’m born and bred Malaysian. My parents are Malaysians so i do not consider myself a immigrant. Do you? As far as im concern, the day we start giving others excuses for not treating you as a equal(not “luxury rights”) you might as well move into a shell and enjoy the warmth you get out of that space.

I have some questions:

  • Why do we compare against something that is worst that your scenario?
  • Why don’t we compare against those who are in a situation that you would like to be and working towards that?

I know that everyone has their right to their opinion but my thoughts are that im Malaysian and i dont think that anyone should be settling for second, third or anything other than what they deserve. Having said that, it does not come easy and if you dont beleive in it, dont stop those who does!?

Does anyone stop you from being a third class citizen? I don’t think so! So let those who want to be recognized as Malaysians fight their battle!

Datuk Nasharudin Hashim, Mohd Osman Jailu, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Hee Yit Foon. Remember these names!

These are the kind of politicians who are out there them selves and have proved that they are in it for self gain. Its not easy to judge one but when they prove that they cant be trusted it teaches everyone a harsh lesson. How can one say that there was no foul play in this scam? Its like a well scripted tamil movie. You know the kind where they get a little creative with the order of things to happen and mix it up a bit to confuse the viewers but ultimately its the same bullshit.

I can understand if those who left had genuine reasons and found that the parties they represent were not what they feel is best for the constituents and wanted to move for the better but this?! I have my reservations!
