Singapore

If you are a frequent at Delirium, you would have noticed that the site has been quiet for about a week.I was away at Singapore for a workshop and hardly had time to blog or even go online proper. Anyway..Im not a fan of the country simply because of the lifestyle and the food is poor as compared to home but hey..a Singaporean would say the same about that(nothing tops home) .

While i was there the one thing i enjoy about the country is how organized and well planned everything is.The list goes on and on and on but im going to choose the transportation system because i had to use the public transport to shuttle myself around. I toke a lot of cabs to move around and i must say its awesome. Stop a cab and get in, tell the dude where your heading and he takes you there with a meter to give you cost. The cabs are clean and some cabbies are not the friendliest but at least they keep their mouths shut and take you where you need to go as fast as they can.

Why are they so dicipled? Have a look at the signages all over the country above.

Fear Factor always works. If something is hard to fix, enforce it hard and eventually everyone will abide.Especially if its something fundamental..ie transportation system.

This is a small part of it. The trains, busses and cabs actually compliment each other very well. They are all connected and that is simply a sign that its a well planned .Awesome work!
Excuses like they are a small country and all are not good enough anymore, are smaller states as good as that small country?

17 year old girl Raped!

Check this piece of news out!

A weekend family outing turned disastrous after a 17-year-old girl was raped and robbed. The victim, along with her parents and two siblings, had gone to the Gunung Pulai waterfalls for a picnic at about 2.30pm on Saturday. While the rest of her family were swimming, she had gone off to change her clothes when three men in their 20s suddenly appeared, grabbed her from behind and dragged her to nearby bushes.

One of the suspects raped her while two others stole her belongings. The victim’s screams prompted her family to come to her aid. They managed to detain two suspects, while the one who raped her escaped. The family members have since handed over the suspects to the police and made a police report. The victim was sent to Kulai Hospital for a medical examination.Kulai Jaya OCPD Supt Zulkefly Yahya confirmed the case and said police had launched a manhunt for the escaped suspect.

Its mental isnt it, within a few minutes she gets raped and robbed! Good that they cought 2 of the idiots and hopefully the guy who raped her gets caught too! This are the kind of news that should be highlighted and stern action must be taken.Everyone should know about it so those with such cruel intentions will have to re-think their plans!

He urged anyone with information to contact the police hotline at 07-221 2999 or the nearest police station.

Where is Sharlinie?

With the general elections hogging the front pages of most newspapers and tv there hasn’t been any updates on missing child Sharlinie! I hope the police are still on top of this case and looking for her or leads for that matter. I hope the people responsible for finding her are not giving excuses reasons and really have some sold leads. We don’t want the same thing to happen like Nurin who was later found dead.

Anyone knows whats happening?

88 people have spent time in airports

There have been 88 people who live in airports, like Iranian Merhan Nasseri, who lived at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport for 18 years because of passport problems and who inspired the Tom Hanks film “The Terminal” (and among others, Anthony Delaney, who was arrested at London’s Gatwick airport in February after nearly four years’ residence)

Imagine that! they get into a airport and cant get out because of some passport drama and end up spending a chunk of their lives in a airport!! Crazy isn’t it!
