This is a very interesting one, check out the world map of Internet cables. This is how our data moves from location to location. So when you experience extremely slow internet speed it’s probably a good idea to see if there has been an Earthquake or some natural disaster that could have put a speed bump to your connectivity.

A Wikipedia entry states that only 1% of Internet data and voice traffic is transmitted through satellite links while the remaining 99% is still carried by undersea cables spread across the world’s oceans

Delicious Stacks

Delicious is back with a new look and feel and it introduces a new way to organize and share your favourite bookmarks, they call it Stacks! It’s like a playlist for the web where you can collect and share anything online.

A nice concept of grouping up a certain topic for easy reference.

Time to get back to my delicious.com and get stacking!

Maxis : How To Check Data Usage

Here’s a nice tip, this is how you can check how much you have exhausted off your monthly data usage from your monthly Maxis data package. Im on a 500MB plan which is sufficient for me as I’m on wifi when at home where I do my updates and other data hungry activities.

Using this method, you can ensure that you keep your data usage in check. If you don’t know already, it cost a bomb when you pass your monthly data cap so its good to check to ensure you don’t fall under that bracket.
